Aerospace Discovery Centre USM

The Aerospace Discovery Centre (ADC) successfully held its Hangar Open Day from 5 to 7 December 2025 in conjunction with Gempak@USM Kampus Kejuruteraan . The event was opened to the public with the objective of increasing awareness and interest in aerospace engineering and STEM-related fields. Visitors were welcomed into the hangar to explore various aerospace exhibits, including aircraft and helicopter displays, RC aircraft, and interactive learning stations. Among the activities conducted were RC flight simulator demonstrations, guided explanations by student ambassadors at the aircraft parking area and RC clubhouse, as well as multimedia displays showcasing ADC activities around the hangar. A sponsored outreach booth at Kompleks Sukan Kampus Kejuruteraan further engaged the public by introducing RC aircraft, simulator flying, and promoting the Hangar Open Day for deeper aerospace exploration. We received a visit from SJKC Pai Teik, Nibong Tebal, Pulau Pinang on 2 November 2025 , involving 30 pupils and 5 teachers . The visit was aimed at empowering students in STEM.  Among the activities showcased were an introduction to aerospace engineering, paper plane building, drone demonstration, gas turbine engine demonstration, as well as visits to our aircraft including a helicopter and an airplane. The pupils also had the opportunity to try our RC flight simulator. The programme was held at the School of Aerospace Engineering and our Aerospace Discovery Centre , giving the students a hands-on experience in the world of aviation and aerospace. We are excited to share that the Counselling and Guidance Unit of SK Permatang To' Jaya have organized an educational visit to the School of Aerospace Engineering and Aerospace Discovery Centre, Universiti Sains Malaysia , USM Nibong Tebal on 26 Nov 2025. This visit is specially planned to celebrate 48 students who achieved 100% attendance for the 2025 school session. We hope this trip inspires our students and gives them a glimpse into the exciting world of aerospace engineering.

  We are pleased to share that the Preschool Committee of SK Sri Kerian successfully organised an educational visit to the School of Aerospace Engineering, Nibong Tebal, Penang.
