Hangar Open Day 2025

The Aerospace Discovery Centre (ADC) successfully held its Hangar Open Day from 5 to 7 December 2025 in conjunction with Gempak@USM Kampus Kejuruteraan.

The event was opened to the public with the objective of increasing awareness and interest in aerospace engineering and STEM-related fields. Visitors were welcomed into the hangar to explore various aerospace exhibits, including aircraft and helicopter displays, RC aircraft, and interactive learning stations.

Among the activities conducted were RC flight simulator demonstrations, guided explanations by student ambassadors at the aircraft parking area and RC clubhouse, as well as multimedia displays showcasing ADC activities around the hangar. A sponsored outreach booth at Kompleks Sukan Kampus Kejuruteraan further engaged the public by introducing RC aircraft, simulator flying, and promoting the Hangar Open Day for deeper aerospace exploration.

The programme was supported by dedicated Hangar Ambassadors who assisted visitors throughout the event, ensuring a meaningful and educational experience for all age groups.

Through initiatives such as the Hangar Open Day, the Aerospace Discovery Centre continues to strengthen public engagement, promote STEM education, and inspire future generations in aviation and aerospace.

Our 1st Open Day as an Aerospace Discovery Centre

28.8.2025 Yes, we have done the 1st Open day for Aerospace Discovery Centre, Universiti Sains Malaysia . We are very excited to see more and more people come in to our facilities here at USM Kampus Kejuruteraan to see, feel, hands on with our full scale and scale aircrafts here at our Hangar School of Aerospace Engineering USM . This is only the beginning, Aerospace Discovery Centre will have more and more open day to the public after this.   This is truly us, the spirit of discovery and get the taste of aerospace in your hand.
